Red Tack co-founders Mike and Chris Schrimpf know how to take on the toughest issues and get results. Whether it's in the business world or in politics, they succeed by taking a tailored and comprehensive approach.
Red Tack develops and executes communications plans that advance a client’s objectives and win news cycles. We are committed to incorporating every aspect of the communications operations – earned media, digital, research, policy, rapid response and events – to best leverage a client's resources and achieve its strategic goals.
Prior to founding Red Tack Strategy, Mike and Chris served in senior communications positions on Presidential and statewide campaigns, in multiple governor's offices and for the Republican Governors Association (RGA).
Mike worked as communications director for the RGA, Ohio Gov. John Kasich's presidential campaign and Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner's gubernatorial campaign. He also served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Rauner Administration.
Chris also was once communications director for the RGA, and he was senior communications adviser for Kasich for America. He ran communications for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's administration from his first inauguration through Gov. Walker's historic victory in the 2012 recall election. He previously worked as press secretary for Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue.
Both served as key advisers on the strategy teams, managed integrated communications departments, served as on-the-record spokesmen in the nation’s most aggressive media environments and helped lead debate preparation.
The two Schrimpfs were born on the same day in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they were raised. Mike now lives with his wife and two young children in Chicago, Illinois. Chris now lives with his wife and two young children in Columbus, Ohio.
